Stone Benchtops in Malaga - Visit the VITRUM Surfaces Showroom
If you are searching for stone benchtops in Malaga, you are already in the right suburb. The VITRUM Surfaces showroom sits at 100 Mulgul Road, Malaga, where you can see full slabs of every VITRUM range, compare colours in natural light & take samples home before you commit.
VITRUM is the crystalline silica-free evolution of QSTONE, a long-standing WA brand, & is distributed by JH Wilberforce, a WA business that has serviced the building trades for more than eighty years. It gives you the look of natural stone with stain, scratch, water & impact resistance, without the silica concerns that led to the 2024 engineered stone ban.
Crystalline silica-free benchtops for Malaga
Since July 2024, engineered stone containing crystalline silica can no longer be made, supplied or installed in Australia. VITRUM was developed in response. It contains no crystalline silica, is classified as a glass product & is not part of the ban, so Malaga homeowners, builders & stonemasons can specify it with confidence.
Learn more about what VITRUM is made of on our What is VITRUM Surfaces page, or see why homeowners choose it over natural stone & laminate.

How to get a VITRUM benchtop in Malaga
VITRUM Surfaces is supplied through stonemasons, cabinet makers, kitchen companies & builders, who fabricate & install the finished benchtop. Here is how it works:
- Choose your colour - visit our Malaga showroom or order samples online.
- Ask your Malaga kitchen company, cabinet maker, builder or stonemason to specify VITRUM on your quote.
- Your fabricator orders the slabs, measures, cuts & installs your benchtop to your exact specifications.
- Your benchtop is covered by VITRUM's 10-year limited warranty against slab manufacturing defects, from the date of installation.
- Need help finding a fabricator? Call our team on (08) 9340 6222.
Things to know before you order
- Slab thickness is 20mm. Ask your stonemason about thicker-looking edge options.
- Joins are normally not needed in runs under 3.2 metres; longer runs will need a join.
- Any drop-in or undermount sink can be used, including stainless steel, porcelain, cast iron & solid surface.
- Gas cooktops need a 200mm gap from the burner to a VITRUM splashback (AS/NZS 5601); induction & electric need 50mm.
- Use a trivet for hot pans & a chopping board when using knives.
- VITRUM is for indoor use only. Prolonged UV exposure can fade the pigment, so it is not recommended outdoors.
- Polished surfaces need no sealing. Clean with VITRUM Sanitize & a microfibre cloth, or warm water & a mild detergent.
